On Partial Features in the DLF Dialects of Description Logic with Inverse Features
نویسندگان
چکیده
The DLF dialects of description logic are fragments of first order logic with underlying signatures based on unary predicate symbols and on unary function symbols interpreted as total functions. In earlier work, we have shown how computational properties of logical consequence for dialects of this family without inverse features are preserved when unary function symbols are interpreted instead as partial functions, and when a “∃f” concept constructor for feature value existence is added that can be used to enforce function totality. In this paper, we resolve a number of open problems mentioned in this earlier work that concerns DLF dialects with inverse features. Our main result shows how the dialect CFDI∀− nc can be extended with a limited form of conjunction on left-hand-sides of inclusion dependencies that enables a straightforward simulation of partial functions together with the ∃f concept constructor.

Adding ABoxes to a Description Logic with Uniqueness Constraints via Path Agreements
We now know that the addition of a concept constructor called a Path Functional Dependency (PFD) to the Boolean-complete description logic DLF leads to undecidability of ABox consistency for DLF . Consequently, we define a boundary condition for PFDs that enables the recovery of earlier DLF complexity bounds for this problem. This is accomplished indirectly by adding an additional concept const...

Autism spectrum disorders are a subset of neurodevelopmental disorders, and one of the most important of its symptoms is the existence of deficiencies in social communication and interaction, interests, behaviors, and limited and repetitive activities. Art therapy is one of the intervention approaches for this disorder, which according to research has a good effect on helping autistic children....

This research focuses on the identification and description of various features of pseudokarst in different parts of Alvand granitic batholith, Hamedan, west of Iran. In the literature, karst features have been presented as specific types of terrain or landscapes with particular characteristics suites of well-known surface and subsurface dissolutional forms. Whereas, pseudokarst refers to non-d...
متن کاملOn the Interaction between Inverse Features and Path-functional Dependencies in Description Logics
We investigate how inverse features can be added to a boolean complete description logic with pathfunctional dependencies in ways that avoid undecidability of the associated logical implication problem. In particular, we present two conditions that ensure the problem remains EXPTIMEcomplete. The first is syntactic in nature and limits the form that dependencies may have in argument terminologie...
